Baishakhi Mela is one of the attractive festivals for this day held everywhere especially in the villages.

Bangla Academy holds a cultural programme on its ground in the morning. Shilpakala Academy organizes a cultural function on the Academy ground. Jatiya press club, Bulbul Lalitakala Academy, national museum and liberation war museum organize cultural programmes. The observance of it is a part and parcel of Bengali culture And Identity.
